Jetona Koçibelli, a well-known culture journalist, has organized the opening of an exhibition called "BACKSTAGE SHOW".

She writes in her post:

I am very happy to welcome you to my next exhibition "BACKSTAGE SHOW"

#Freedom of #media is a universal postulate, but only in the democratic world it has value! The more democracy a society has, the more freedom the media will have! So the media is also a product of society! As society is, the media has that face! Based on many episodes and not only, the dilemma is this: is our society, our system, really democratic?

In the historical chronology, the question arises: Was Albania democratic or what kind of system did Albania have after the fall of the communist regime, when the persecution and lynching of opposition journalists began?

#BACKSTAGESHOW is the name of the next exhibition that I curate at the Center for Openness and Dialogue, which for the public raises the dilemma of whether: Freedom is a generalist notion! Today we have unbridled freedom thanks to the digital age, where we have paradoxically replaced the communist slogan "All the people are soldiers" with the democratic slogan "All the people are journalists".

Open to the public: COD | Prime Minister's Library

 4 to 9 May 2024 at 9:30-14:00 and 17:30-20:30
