Kosovo Assembly Constituted, Nenad Rashic of the Serbian Minority Elected Vice President

After the failure to elect 9 candidates proposed by the Serbian List, the Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, Dimal Basha, has proposed that the tenth and final Serbian MP, Nenad Rashic, be put to the vote for the position of deputy speaker.

And it was Nenad Rashic who was elected deputy speaker of the Kosovo Assembly from the ranks of the Serbian community. Rashic received 71 votes in favor, from the deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo, 9 deputies of the Serbian List voted against, while 24 abstained, mainly from deputies of the PDK and AAK.

The Assembly of Kosovo is now considered constituted.
