U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinchen and Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will visit Kiev on Sunday, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"Tomorrow, American officials will come to visit us. I will meet the Secretary of Defense (Lloyd Austin) and Antony Blinchen," Zelenskyy told reporters on Saturday.
The Ukrainian president did not give further details about the possible visit.
It would be the first official visit by U.S. government officials since Russia's aggression against Ukraine began on February 24.
The White House declined to comment Saturday regarding the possible visit. The U.S. State Department also declined comment.
The Ukrainian president also demanded that the United States agree to be one of Ukraine's security guarantors to protect it from future threats.
Mr. Zelenskyy said he expected concrete results, including an agreement to offer more weapons.
Mr. Zelenskyy for weeks has urged Western allies to send Ukraine more weapons to withstand Russian aggression.
