The scenes that you will see in the exclusive video of protothema.gr about the tragedy that happened on Tuesday evening in the port of Piraeus with the death of the 36-year-old man on the ship "Blue Horizon" are surprising and terrifying.

The ship is ready for departure from the port of Piraeus to the port of Heraklion, Crete. A man tries to board the ship as the Blue Horizon crew pulls him away.

And while the 36-year-old has managed to climb the ship's catapult, two people from the Blue Horizon crew push him out of the ship, continuing the launch procedures. The man tries to stand on the catapult and board the ship to travel to Heraklion, but the two crew members again push him violently to throw him off the ship. The man's effort is futile, the two crew members succeed and push him to the limits of the catapult, the part that rests on the wing is retracted.

The man loses his balance and falls into the sea, in the wake of the main engines of the large passenger ferry that is set to depart. The man fights the waves, it is not known if he also hit his head or another part of his body falling from the catapult into the sea and shortly after he is pulled back dead as the Blue Horizon ship sails towards Heraklion as if nothing had happened.

Crew lies to passengers

"We inform the passengers that the delay of the ship's departure is due to an incident that happened in the port of Piraeus. The ship is not responsible for the incident. Thank you for your understanding", was the briefing received by the ship's passengers as the Blue Horizon was ordered to return to the port of Piraeus, in a defiant attempt by the crew to hush up the incident and hide the responsibility of the crew who pushed the passenger from the catapult 36-year-old who suffered a tragic death.

The captain and crew were arrested

Almost simultaneously with the discovery of the shocking video by protothema.gr showing the two crew members throwing from the catapult causing the death of the 36-year-old, it was announced that the captain and his crew members were arrested. The ship's owning company is said to be set to change the ship's captain and crew members to operate the route to Heraklion, Crete.
