Ukraine says none survived, Russia distributes footage of "Moskva"

The Russian Defence Ministry has published images showing what it says is the crew of the Warship Moskva, to shoot down Ukraine's statements, which it says none of the crew were rescued after the shipwreck, considered the 'flag' of the Russian fleet.

A large group of sailors is seen on parade in the crimea city of Sevastopol as they are met by Navy Commander-In-Chief Admiral Nikolay Yevmenov.

"Moskva" was the flag of the Russian Fleet in the Black Sea. The ship's destruction has been described as a major blow to Russian morale.

The ministry announced late Thursday that Moskva had drowned as a result of the storms and after a fire caused by the explosion of ammunition. Ukraine said it had sunk the ship with two Neptune missiles.

Russia said at the time that the crew had been sent to Sevastopol, a major Crimean port, which Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014. However, this is the first time any evidence of any sailor's survival has been offered.

Video shows Admiral Yevmenov and two other officers standing on a foreground in front of about 100 sailors.

It is not known when the meeting was held to determine whether the video was made before, or after the "Moskva" sinking.
