US President Donald Trump has ordered strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen.
In a post on his "Social Truth" platform, Trump also warned Iran that support for the group must "end immediately."
Iran-backed Houthi rebels reported a series of explosions in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, on Saturday evening.
The Houthi-led Health Ministry said at least nine civilians were killed.
Images shared online show plumes of black smoke over the area of ??the city's airport complex, which includes a large military facility.
Trump said the strikes were due to Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
"Your time is up and your attacks must stop, starting today. If it doesn't, hell will fall upon you like nothing you've ever seen before," he said.
Trump said Iran would be held "fully responsible" for the actions of its representative, adding: "And we will not be nice about it!"
The attacks come days after the Houthis said they would resume attacks on Israeli ships sailing in Yemeni waters in response to Israel's blockade of Gaza, although there have been no reported attacks by the Houthis since then.
The US, Israel and Britain have previously struck Houthi-controlled areas in Yemen.
