United States President Donald Trump has threatened to break the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas if the Palestinian terror group continues to target residents in Gaza.
“If Hamas continues to kill people in Gaza, which was not the Deal, we will have no choice but to go in and kill them,” Trump wrote in a social media post on Thursday. “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
Trump's statements open the door for direct US military action in Gaza and appear to be an escalation from previous statements warning that the US would support new Israeli military action if the terms of the agreement were violated.
The warning comes after reports of Hamas killings of those the terror group calls Israeli collaborators in Gaza.
