TikTok / 13-year-old Albanian girl hits her head on the school floor during the "Superman" challenge

A student at an elementary school in Gurrakoc, Istog, has suffered physical injuries after playing the "Superman" challenge with several other students, which has become famous on the social network TikTok.

In this challenge, two to three people try to hold the other person who is "flying" in their arms, but in some cases they then throw them back or don't catch them at all and the person falls to the ground.

According to media in Kosovo, the incident in Istog occurred on Thursday (December 5) during the students' break, announced the school principal, MK, noting that the 13-year-old was initially taken into custody by the teacher who had lessons with that class.

"The case was initially addressed to the teacher who had lessons in that class, then to me. And as a school, we reacted immediately to help her," she stated.

The school principal announced that the minor had head injuries after falling to the floor, and said that she also had abdominal pain, was shaking, and had turned pale.

Kabashi further stated that the student received medical treatment and returned to school on Friday.

The Municipal Directorate of Education in Istog has also reacted to the TikTok phenomenon.

She has asked Istog schools to hold an information session for students on the use of online networks next week.

"I request from you, as principals, that starting next Monday (09.12.2024), in each class of your schools, an information session be held with students about the use of social networks. In recent days, a series of problems related to the use of social networks by school students have emerged, which does not contribute to proper education in our schools," the response on Facebook states.
