Today, the day of horror for Iran, Hegseth: The war will end when we decide
Pete Hegseth

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said today that Tuesday will be the "most intense" day of US strikes against Iran.

"Today will be our most intense day of strikes inside Iran yet. More fighter jets, more bombers, more strikes. More refined and better intelligence than ever," he said at a Pentagon press conference, while briefing the media on the war in Iran.

Hegseth also added that Iran has launched the lowest number of missiles within a 24-hour period since the start of the war.

He added that the operation is focused and the United States is "destroying the enemy."

Hegseth said the Iranian regime is rushing towards building a nuclear bomb, but President Donald Trump 'won't allow it'.

According to him, Iranian forces are “deliberately targeting innocents” because they know that their forces are being “ systematically weakened and destroyed.” “Iran is alone and is losing badly ,” he said.

Hegseth stressed that the objectives of Operation 'Epic Fury' remain the same:

-Destruction of Iran's missile stockpile, their launchers, and defense industrial base

-Destruction of the Iranian Navy

-Permanent denial of nuclear weapons for Iran

He echoes Trump's previous comments, saying they are "destroying the enemy" in a ruthless manner.

The US " will not retreat until the enemy is completely and decisively defeated ," said Pete Hegseth.

"We do it on our own time, and at our own choosing ," he concluded.
