Plague breaks out among small livestock in Debar, Kosovo bans the import of goats and sheep!

The Food and Veterinary Agency in Kosovo has announced that it has banned the import of sheep and goats from Albania due to the outbreak of rinderpest disease in Debar.

"The import of sheep and goats from Albania is prohibited due to the outbreak of small ruminant disease PPR (Peste des Petits Ruminants) in the Dibra Region," the announcement states.

While institutions have called on border municipalities to increase field controls, the AUVA has also warned of strengthening border controls.
