A day ago, the US State Department decided to lay off more than 1,300 employees.

According to foreign media, after these massive dismissals, a protest was held outside the State Department premises, where former US Ambassador to Albania Yuri Kim was also seen.

In the footage published by Reuters, former ambassador Kim is clearly visible.

The decision to lay off staff has been hailed by President Donald Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and senior Republicans as a necessary move that will, according to them, make American diplomacy more agile and effective.
