Growing pressure/ Even Barack Obama wants Joe Biden to withdraw

The former American president, Barack Obama, becomes the next Democrat to demand the withdrawal of Joe Biden from the race. According to the Washington Post, Obama believes the 81-year-old should "seriously consider the viability of his candidacy."

WP refers to several sources close to former President Obama, who did not react after the news was published.

Obama was in charge of the White House during the years 2009-2017, during which time Biden served as vice president.

Obama is one of the most influential people in the Democratic Party. He thus becomes the most powerful voice to join a growing chorus of Democrats calling for Biden's recall after the disastrous debate with Donald Trump.

Pressure from Democrats to withdraw Biden is mounting.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries reportedly met with Biden in recent days to warn that his candidacy threatens his party's prospects in the November election.
