Osmani is waiting for the American ambassador

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, received in a meeting the ambassador of the United States of America, Jeffrey Hovenier, with whom she talked about the situation in the north of Kosovo and the importance of de-escalating the situation.

Osmani asked the American ambassador to put pressure on the Serbian authorities to immediately release the 3 policemen kidnapped by the Serbian special forces.

"President Osmani reiterated the importance of the immediate and unconditional release of the Kosovo policemen who were kidnapped by Serbia within the territory of Kosovo. She also expressed gratitude for the clear position of the USA regarding the release of the policemen", the announcement states.

In the meeting between President Osmani and Ambassador Hovenier, the next steps for the escalation of the situation and the need for coordination with Western partners were also discussed.
