Netanyahu warns of return to war: US and Israel ready to strike Iran again if deal fails

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has made one of the strongest statements on the conflict with Iran, warning that the war is not over and that the US and Israel could resume military operations at any moment if Tehran does not give up its nuclear program.

In a lengthy interview with the "60 Minutes" program, Netanyahu said the main objectives remain the removal of Iran's enriched uranium, dismantling enrichment facilities and destroying the ballistic missile network and proxy forces supported by Tehran.

" President Trump and I agree that, if necessary, we can reengage militarily ," Netanyahu declared, adding that Iran was "very close" to producing a nuclear weapon and that without military intervention "it would have the bomb within a month or two."

The most shocking statement came when Netanyahu was asked how Iran's enriched uranium could be removed. " Go in and take it ," he said with a laugh, implying that there is a concrete plan for direct operations on Iranian territory.

The Israeli prime minister also confirmed that the Iranian regime is at its weakest point since the 1979 Islamic Revolution and did not rule out the possibility of its overthrow. "The weakening of the regime could lead to the collapse of Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthis," Netanyahu said.

In the interview, he revealed another development of geopolitical significance, claiming that China has provided support for components for Iranian missile production, while warning that Iran is working on missiles with ranges that can reach American territory.

Netanyahu declared that Israel "has emerged as the most powerful country in the Middle East" after the war and that the alliance with the US is stronger than ever.
