"47 years of games", Trump rejects Iran's demands and calls them "totally unacceptable"

US President Donald Trump has rejected the proposals presented by Iran in the framework of negotiations between the two countries, describing them as "unacceptable".

According to international media, Tehran demanded the lifting of US sanctions, an end to the war on all fronts, and the guarantee of Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz.

The Iranian Tasnim news agency, affiliated with the Revolutionary Guard, reported that Iran also demanded the immediate lifting of the US naval blockade after the signing of the deal, as well as the unblocking of Iranian financial assets.

According to Axios, Tehran's demands went beyond the expectations of US negotiators. Iranian state television said the US proposal was rejected as "amounting to the country's surrender to Trump's excessive demands."

In a statement to Axios, Trump expressed his displeasure with the Iranian response. "I didn't like their letter. It's unacceptable. For 47 years they've been playing games with many nations," he declared.

Earlier, the American president also reacted on the Truth Social platform, where he called Iran's reaction "Totally unacceptable!"

Trump also confirmed that he had a phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which Iran's response was also discussed. "It was a very nice conversation. We have a good relationship," he said, adding that negotiations with Iran are "his personal matter and not anyone else's."
