A billionaire businessman and friend of Prince William has died aged 53 after reportedly swallowing a bee while playing polo in England.

Sunjay Kapur, chairman of global auto parts manufacturer Sona Comstar, collapsed to the ground during the match yesterday afternoon.

According to British media reports, he suffered a bee sting in the mouth, potentially causing anaphylactic shock that led to cardiac arrest.

Medical experts say internal stings can be deadly, especially if a person has an undiagnosed allergy.

The Indian entrepreneur's ex-wife, Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor, had previously told the media about his passion for organizing Polo games with William.
