Macron: Ukraine ready for unconditional ceasefire

French President Emmanuel Macron said today that he had a "very positive" conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky, that Ukraine is ready for an unconditional ceasefire and that the so-called "Coalition of the Willing" under France and Britain will continue to work to achieve this, but also for a lasting peace.

"Ending the war in Ukraine. This is our common goal with US President Donald Trump," Macron wrote in a post on the X platform.

"Ukraine is ready for an unconditional ceasefire. President Zelensky reiterated this to me today. He would like to work with the Americans and the Europeans to make this possible," Macron added.
