United States President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky met for about 15 minutes at the Vatican and agreed to hold another meeting later in the day for further talks.

This was announced by a spokesman for Zelensky, quoted by Reuters.

The meeting, which lasted 15 minutes, took place in St. Peter's Basilica, the spokesman added.

Photos released by the Ukrainian president's office showed the two leaders sitting opposite each other in the center of a marble hall, without any of their aides nearby.
