Pope Francis' funeral, Trump and Zelensky meet before the ceremony!

Donald Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump had a meeting before the funeral of Pope Francis on Saturday, according to Sergii Nykyforov, a spokesman for the Ukrainian president.

Zelensky had previously said he was willing to meet with Trump while the two leaders were in Italy, although Trump previously would not tell reporters whether or not he planned to speak with his Ukrainian counterpart in Rome.

Trump and Zelensky have not met face to face since a heated Oval Office meeting in February, where the US leader chided his Ukrainian counterpart for not showing sufficient gratitude for American support in his country's fight against Russia.
