While the second round of nuclear talks took place in Geneva, the United States and Iran have continued their war games, which are currently focused on threats.

Thus, in an attempt to increase pressure on the Islamic Republic, two US Air Force aircraft equipped with radars traveled overnight from Alaska to the United Kingdom.

Earlier, the US administration sent its largest warship, the "Gerald Ford", to the Middle East, joining forces with the other warship, the "Abraham Lincoln", which had long been in the region.

But Iran responded by temporarily blocking the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday for a massive military exercise.

The exercise, which also included Revolutionary Guard personnel, extended from the Strait to the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, which are important maritime axes for international trade.

This is the second training exercise that Iranian troops have conducted in recent weeks with live ammunition, using a new warship for the first time.

This is also the first time the Islamic Republic has closed important maritime corridors since the United States threatened military intervention.

Tehran, which claims its nuclear program has only peaceful purposes, has warned that it will respond militarily to America.

But in the meantime, protests appear to have resumed in the country, focused on a city in the western area, at the end of the 40-day period of mourning for the victims of government repression.
