Muhammad al-Husseini, a Lebanese Shiite cleric, once a member of Hezbollah and today a declared enemy and Saudi citizen, has "predicted" on Arab television the deaths of famous leaders of Hamas and the "Party of God".

The last warning is to Naim Qassem, Deputy Secretary General of Hezbollah: “Hassan Nasrallah is waiting for you. Write your will, because you will join him."

There is another one about Abu Obeida, the spokesman for Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades: “Obeida's hiding is known to the Israelis. He's in Rafah, he needs to escape quickly if he doesn't want to perish under the fireball. His elimination is imminent."

Black turban, strong glasses on the tip of the nose, on the Saudi Al Arabiya channel, the Secretary General of the Arab Islamic Council, Muhammad al Husseini, continues to launch his "prophecies".

The superstitious people - and not only - of the Middle East are anxiously waiting for news from the war front.

The Lebanese Shiite cleric, once a member of Hezbollah and now an avowed enemy and Saudi citizen, earned the title "Nostradamus", foretelling the prophecy of prophecies.

Also on Tv Al Arabiya, in the "Dialogue Hour" program, on September 25, two days before the assassination of the Hezbollah leader, Al Husseini warned him: "Hassan Nasrallah prepares your will, Iran has sold you. From tonight, you are the first target".

Then the predictions for Yahya Sinwar - "they will eliminate him in a house and not in a tunnel" - and for Bibi Netanyahu, "they will hit his residences".

It is not the first time that the Shiite cleric has warned former friends of the Party of God, and in July he wrote: “I know that the war will not stop in Lebanon, but will extend to Damascus. The war in Lebanon is near, and only you (Nasrallah) can stop it."

It is clear that his "prophecies", instead of insights, are information coming from Saudi circles.

On social networks, supporters of the Axis of Resistance call it "Zionist", "enemy". But above all: "traitor".

There were many "turning points" in Al Hussein's past history. Originally from the Baalbeck area, he took part in the anti-Israeli resistance, growing up within Hezbollah and establishing ties with Nasrallah himself.

Later he took a different route. In contrast to the faction, he created his own group and then switched to positions clearly hostile to the God Party.

They say the rift was caused by personal issues, financial issues and differing political views.

In the first half of the 2000s, American diplomatic circles pursued it as part of a composite reality that should represent an alternative to Hezbollah. A project that, however, could not compete with the parent organization.

Al Husseini was increasingly considered an ally of the Saudis, accused of being a "Zionist spy" and in 2011 was imprisoned.

After his release, he moved to Arabia, where he was granted citizenship and created a media space for himself, thanks to the support of several satellite broadcasters "close" to the Kingdom. Furthermore, he promoted interfaith dialogue with Jews and Christians.

Long-standing ties to the Shiite world and likely links to sources reserved for Riyadh - which have their own deep throats - have made him "someone with information". Thanks to intuitions, speculations and some precious advice./ Corriere della Sera
