Donald Trump has posted a lengthy message on the Truth Social platform, attacking Republican Congressman Thomas Massie, who criticized US attacks on Iran, calling them "unconstitutional."

Trump writes that the military operation was successful and that they have taken the "bomb out of the hands" of the Iranians.

"We had a spectacular military success yesterday, taking the 'bomb' out of their hands (and they would use it if they could!), but, as usual, despite all the praise and accolades received, this 'light' congressman is against what was so brilliantly achieved last night in Iran," Trump wrote.

The American president criticized Republican Massie for being one of those "lazy politicians who only want to be noticed and who don't produce any results."

Meanwhile, he thanked the military for what he called "amazing work" and something "truly special," referring to the attack on Iran.

In fact, within the Republican Party there is a kind of division between a group that was in favor of military involvement and another wing that was against it, and Congress had to speak out about this.

Iranian President: US must be held accountable for its aggression

On the other side of the camp, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared that the United States "must be held accountable for its aggression," following a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron.

In a statement published on the official website of the Iranian presidency, Pezeshkian emphasizes that Iran has been "the object of a military aggression" and that it has been "defended resolutely."

"We have always expressed our willingness to engage and negotiate within the framework of international law, but instead of accepting logic, the other side has demanded the surrender of the Iranian nation," he said.

Pezeshkian added that his nation will never submit to "blackmail and oppression" and it is natural that it will "respond appropriately to aggression."
