Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's Directorate of Military Intelligence, told Ukrainian newspaper Pravda that Russian President Vladimir Putin has "several diseases" among them cancer.
"We fully confirm this information, that Putin has cancer. He has some serious illnesses, one of which is cancer. But it's not worth hoping Putin dies tomorrow. He's got at least a few years left. We want it or not, that's the truth," Budanov said.
Putin's mental state has been constantly questioned over the past few months, while earlier, a former British MI6 operative, Christopher Seele, said Putin must take regular and long holidays to get medical treatment.
This, according to Steel, has caused chaos and uncertainty in decision-making in Moscow.
Moscow has always denied rumors related to Vladimir Putin's health situation.
