A 90-year-old Italian had managed to keep hidden for 20 years an extramarital affair he had started with an Albanian woman 48 years younger, but it was discovered through a bank transfer he was about to make for the woman.

The story, which was revealed by the Italian media, has as its protagonist a former manager now retired, 90 years old and a resident of Rimini, the city of his origin, who has worked in prestigious positions in well-known national companies in the past.

A rich man, who has accumulated wealth over the years, enough to allow him to sail in economically calm waters and pass the many economic crises that have occurred for half a century without ever sinking.

But their relationship would be revealed when he, the elderly, would make a transfer through a current account of 40 thousand euros to his ex-girlfriend from Albania, who is now 42 years old and at the time of their acquaintance , in 2000, she was only 22.

The fact is that the "donation" that the 90-year-old Italian would make immediately alerted his family, who is married and lives with his wife, but who convinced his daughter to denounce the Albanian accused of "abuse with a state of weakness or of mental deficiency" of an incompetent person, according to article 643 of the Italian Criminal Code.

The prosecutor's office of Rimini - with the prosecutor of the case, Davide Ercolani - after the report made at the beginning of this summer, immediately blocked the bank accounts of the 90-year-old and the 42-year-old woman with an evidence seizure order.

After the decision of the prosecution, the result is what was expected: the elderly man cannot make bank transfers and the Albanian woman cannot receive them.

For the protection of the woman, represented by the lawyer Maurizio Ghinelli. The 42-year-old, already married and a mother, did not commit the criminal offense of "avoiding a disabled person".

Always according to the Italian media, those who know the former entrepreneur describe him as a determined person, capable of not being "bullied", both in the past and in the present.

It is certain that the two met in 2004, in a bar in the center of Rimini, where the then manager, still in his career, had gone to have breakfast.

She, the Albanian woman with whom he fell in love, worked as a bartender, a casual job waiting for better luck, so much so that today the 42-year-old is a specialized employee.

Thus, the former manager became a regular customer of that bar and within a few months the two had developed a relationship, well kept hidden thanks to his work commitments, which had him traveling all over Italy.

The former manager had no difficulty in justifying several absences in the family, even though his girlfriend often followed him on business trips.

There is no doubt, as the woman's defense admitted in court, that he gave her gifts of all kinds, such as trips and clothes.

According to the defense lawyer of the elder's daughter, represented by Giovanna Ollà, who denounced her father's ex-girlfriend, over time those donations became more and more frequent and even generous, with a value calculated at 200 thousand euros.

According to the family members of the 90-year-old, the Albanian woman (whose initials or name is not published), has deceived her lover, taking advantage of his age, especially recently, convincing him to give her gifts and money.

After his daughter's complaint, as the Albanian's lawyer, Ghinelli, informed, the Italian man was angry and touched in the Seder, considering the accusation of "mental disability" raised by his family, as offensive and not corresponding to the truth .

Meanwhile, the Prosecutor's Office of Rimini has instructed Prof. Renato Ariatti to carry out a psychiatric and psychological evaluation of the man, who has already been visited in Bologna.

Both sides are eagerly awaiting the appointed consultant's report, which should arrive soon and according to Italian media reports, it will be the balance that will settle the dispute.
