Inauguration of the Namazgja Mosque

The Namazgja Mosque, the largest in Tirana and in the entire region, was opened today in a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Edi Rama and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

In his speech, Prime Minister Edi Rama thanked Turkey for this investment and appreciated the good relations between Turkey and Albania.

"Here came the opening day of this temple of worship of the creator of the worlds, so longed by a community for a long time, for many reasons. The prophet said about us: I am Ibrahim's prayer, her sihariq, and my mother's dream", said Edi Rama.

On the other hand, Erdogan praised the cooperation between the two countries over the years and during the earthquake disasters, saying that it is an example for the whole world.

Erdogan did not leave this opportunity without attacking his Gulenist rivals, saying that "we should not leave the battlefield empty" for those who use the faith for personal gain.

Tough during his speech, Erdogan was also on Israel, and its attacks in the region on the Palestinians and Lebanon.

"Personally, I am very lucky today to be in this very holy environment, and I pray to Allah that the mosque of Namazgja, the largest in the Balkans, will benefit all Albanians and Muslims in the Balkans. I would like to express my consideration, my gratitude, especially to my friend Mr. Edi Rama. As you can see, the Ottoman architecture which dominates the Balkans is served very nicely in this mosque. We must never break away from the religion of Islam, the religion of peace, and we must not leave empty space to all those who see personal interests. This is the duty of every Muslim who has awareness and a clear conscience.
