The court overturned the plan to send immigrants to Rwanda, Sunak: We will not

The Prime Minister of Britain, Rishi Sunak, has reacted after the Supreme Court's decision to overturn the agreement to send illegal immigrants to Rwanda.

Sunak says that his government already has a new agreement with Rwanda ready, which will be finalized within the day.

"My commitment to stopping the boats is unwavering. The government has been working on a new treaty with Rwanda and we will finalize it in light of today's judgement. If necessary, I am prepared to revise our domestic legal framework", writes Sunak on social networks.

Court judges in Britain unanimously upheld the Court of Appeal ruling that the policy was illegal. In January, activists and asylum seekers won a legal challenge to the plan to send the migrants to Rwanda after the Court of Appeal ruled that the deportation plan was illegal.
