The journalist asks the Prime Minister: Are you a liar?

There are some clear themes in the way Boris Johnson wants to address questions about Partygate. He insists he did not think any antiCovid rules were being violated, even at the event for which he was fined

But he admits that the rules have been violated and he takes responsibility for that.

Most importantly, according to Boris Johnson - it's time to move on. He insists it is time to offer what he calls "people's priorities".

But many people will think it is too early to move forward, despite other factors affecting people's lives.

Paul Brand, the ITV journalist behind several Partygate franchises, says the prime minister saw what was going on in his house, participated in it and set the holiday rules. "So the question arises: are you a liar?" he asked the British Prime Minister directly.

"No," Johnson replies.

At the meeting in the cabinet hall to celebrate the birthday, for which he was fined, the prime minister says, "I don't think so... That this was a violation of the rules. That's how it happened."
