A US warplane has reportedly shot down a Turkish drone in Syrian airspace.

According to what is reported by some international media, the American "F-16" plane has shot down the Turkish drone of the "Anka-S" model after considering it as a threat to the American troops in the area.

According to earlier reports, this drone had bombed several positions of the Kurdish forces in Syria.

The Turkish bombings on the Kurds started as revenge for the bomb blast in front of the Ministry of Internal Affairs building in Ankara.

If the information is officially confirmed, this will be the first time that the US has shot down a Turkish aircraft.
