Two Russian planes enter Lithuanian airspace, NATO alerted

NATO member Lithuania said two Russian military aircraft briefly entered its airspace today.

According to foreign media, the two planes, a Su-30 fighter and an Il-78 supply tanker, remained in the airspace for 18 seconds, while Spanish jets from NATO's Baltic division took to the air in response to the incident, the Lithuanian military said.

Lithuania, which shares a land border with the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, has been a NATO member since 2004. Recall that during these months, Russian aircraft have crossed into NATO airspace several times, which according to the West is a provocation on Putin's part.
