A doctor and multiple drug dealers have been arrested in the death of actor Matthew Perry.
The unidentified doctor and narcotics salesman were caught over allegations they gave the star of the "Friends" series ketamine that killed him in October 2023, TMZ reports.
Perry was found unconscious in the tub of his Los Angeles home and the cause of his death was later determined to be 'acute effects of ketamine'.
At least one doctor and many dealers have already been arrested by police. Their identity has not been disclosed and it is unclear if they have been charged.
Multiple law enforcement agencies have conducted searches, sequestering computers, phones and other devices to prove which of the suspects was responsible for delivering Perry's fatal dose.
Federal charges have been filed and will be announced at a press conference later today, ABC reports.
Los Angeles police said in May they were working with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service on an investigation.
It emerged earlier that Charlie Sheen's ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, was among those who had been interviewed 'multiple times' by the LAPD in connection with the death.
However, she has not been named as one of those arrested, according to TMZ.
The paper also reports that the search warrant uncovered text messages discussing Perry and the ketamine he craved, including how much he would pay for it.
The investigation has also reportedly uncovered other celebrities linked to the drugs scene.
Local police and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agents interviewed several 'key people in Hollywood' who are known drug users.
