The US DEA, in collaboration with Greek police anti-drug officers, have cracked down on a criminal international drug trafficking group, arresting 4 people and seizing around 46 kg of cocaine.

The criminal group has been under investigation since the beginning of November this year, in connection with drug trafficking through containers placed on ships.

It is not yet known how, but apparently the police have discovered their communications on the 'Signal' application as well, as the investigative file shows that several collaborators are still unidentified, with one case included according to the file as 'an unidentified person on the 'Signal' application with the code 'Hajsk', another as 'a person with a Spanish female voice' or 'user of the phone number '+31……..5, Albanian'.

From November 8-11, the criminal group managed to place in a container at the port of Guayaquil in Ecuador a quantity of 45 kg 958 grams of cocaine destined for Greece, which arrived in Thessaloniki on December 13 in a container with bananas.

The Greek police have been following all the movements in the receipt and delivery of the drugs, arresting the traffickers involved. A Venezuelan, a Slovenian, a citizen from the Dominican Republic and an Albanian from Kosovo, Muj Morina, 44 years old, have been arrested.

The Venezuelan was caught trying to leave through Thessaloniki airport, while the other three were caught delivering drugs to the addresses 'L. Niki' and 'Ionios Dragoumi 1' in Thessaloniki. During the search of the apartment, 35 grams of cocaine were also found and seized.

In addition to the drugs, the Greek police also seized 1,450 euros, 658 dollars, 4 cell phones, and a POWSERBANK GPS.
