US President Donald Trump spent several minutes of his speech before Congress to compile a list that he said explained how the Biden administration had wasted American taxpayer money.

“Thank you Elon, he works very hard ,” Donald Trump said, before pointing a finger at the Democrats in the chamber. “Everybody here, even this side, appreciates it, I think. They just don’t want to admit it.”

According to the US president, this department has discovered that the Biden administration spent $8 million on experiments that "turned mice into transgender" and also raised questions about $8 million spent to promote LGBTQI+ in the African country of Lesotho, "which no one has ever heard of."

However, CNN, after a "fact-check", reports that the US president's statement about transgender mice is not true.

As CNN reports, between fiscal years 2021 and 2022, the National Institutes of Health awarded a total of $477,121 to three projects that involved administering feminizing hormone therapy to monkeys to understand how it might affect their immune systems and make them more susceptible to the HIV virus.

"Feminizing hormone therapy is a gender-affirming treatment used to block the effects of the male hormone, testosterone, and promote feminine characteristics in transgender women. Transgender women are nearly 50 times more likely to be infected with HIV than other adults, according to a 2013 study in 15 countries, including the U.S. It's not clear where the $8 million figure came from ," CNN writes.

Under the Trump administration, all of these scams – and there are worse ones – but I didn't think it was appropriate to talk about them, will be eliminated. They are so terrible. Many more have been discovered and exposed, and they have been eliminated rapidly by a group of very intelligent, mostly young people, led by Elon, and we appreciate that. We have uncovered hundreds of billions of dollars in scams.

And we've brought this money back, we've reduced the debt to fight inflation and for many other issues - we've gotten a lot of this money back. We caught it at the right time. And this is just the beginning.
