150 missiles on standby?! Albanian ambassador to the United Arab Emirates

The Albanian Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Rido Kortezi, in a live broadcast to Euronews Albania, reported on the situation in the country following the attacks at Abu Dhabi airport.

He stressed that the situation has been calmer and that the United Arab Emirates' anti-missile system has functioned well and there has been no damage.

"Everything is fine. But today has been a quieter day. The attacks have been fewer in number and the UAE's anti-missile system has been functioning well and there has been no damage. There were a few strikes early this morning at Abu Dhabi airport in some of the peripheral terminals as well as at the terminal at Dubai airport in and those in some of the peripheral terminals.

"The novelty was that the French military base here in Abu Dhabi was also hit because here in Abu Dhabi there is a French base and an American military base," he said.

The ambassador added, among other things, that the attacks were unforeseen and that there were no concerns or injuries to the Albanian community.

"The attacks were unforeseen and as far as the Albanian community is concerned, there were no concerns. Of course, there are contacts with them, they have questions and minor concerns, more about: when can they leave or when can the airspace be opened."

"But during these attacks there was very minor damage, about two or three people killed and several injured, but fortunately no Albanian citizens were injured," he said.

Among other things, the ambassador emphasized that the images circulating on the Internet about the attacks were neutralized by the missile system. According to him, they were neutralized with 150 missiles and over 200 drones.

"The United Arab Emirates' missile system is one of the most developed systems, the TAD Patriot system, which has neutralized the vast majority of these missiles and drones. It's about 150 missiles and over 200 drones, and the exact image you saw is missile debris that is neutralized in the air and falls in the form of debris," he said.
