A day before the news broke in the media that the much-wanted Albanian justice official, Inez Hajrulla, may have been taken hostage after it emerged that she had lost contact with her family, other information came to light.
The information was that Hajrulla was in one of the rooms of a hotel in Vaqarr, in the company of a girl.
Immediately, the services of Commissariat No. 6, together with support services, went to the hotel premises to conduct initial verifications. The check revealed that Hajrulla was not in the hotel at that moment.
Police are also verifying whether Hajrulla was notified before the police went to the hotel.
In parallel, the hotel's cameras were also taken, while customers and staff were questioned about the description of "El Padrino" of Vlora.
The next day, news broke in the media that Hajrulla had been taken hostage.
So what happened?
The police are verifying both leads, both of a possible staging of the event but also of a disappearance by his opponents.
His father, Robert Hajrulla , has not yet filed a missing person report but has confirmed that he has not had contact with his son for 2 days.
Was the time window of leaving the hotel the ideal moment to stage a scene now that the police have gotten so close to Hajrulla, or was this time used by his opponents to kidnap him?
This remains to be seen.
But currently, the Police are conducting verifications to discover what happened to one of the most wanted figures in the criminal world in Albania, accused of a series of criminal events. / Zëri
