The famous expression "follow the money", which even today after decades continues to be a guide for law enforcement structures in the fight against illegal wealth, said by Falkone and ironically also mentioned by the former minister Arben Ahmetaj, in the last interview given by him in the media, it seems that it is being applied by the Special Prosecutor's Office also for the investigation against him.

This investigation started a few months ago after the report to SPAK that was related to a villa located in Hamallaj, in the "Vala Mar" complex that the former minister and his current cohabitant had not declared, and which according to the informants had been donated to Klodian Zoto, one of those wanted for the incinerator affair.

Report Tv has provided the full list of properties that SPAK is investigating. Other assets in the name of Ahmetaj's ex-wife, Albina Macka, have been placed in the sieve and are being verified.

We are talking about a villa in Rolling Hills in Tirana, one in 'Green Coast' as well as an apartment in former Bllok which are owned by Ahmetaj's ex-wife. Meanwhile, the villa in Hamallaj owned by the current cohabitant, Erjola Hoxha, is being verified. Along with the construction documentation of the buildings, SPAK has also seized the documentation for the furnishing of all these properties. 

Meanwhile, the prosecution's silence and apparent inaction contrasts with the appearance of some individuals at the doors of SPAK. The activity carried out by them is completely private, which leads us to believe that the only motive they have been called is related to the financial traces left by them due to the duty of investments by Arben Ahmetaj and his family in real estate.

Identification of physical properties, especially villas, as well as obtaining information in the form of documentary data that prove the amount invested both in their construction and in their furnishings by Ahmetaj and his family, which constitutes evidence that the former minister is being investigated for money laundering .
