Governor Sejko at the head of the loan fraud scheme? Documents that raise
Gent Sejko

The governor, Gent Sejko , is accused of being at the head of a complicated fraud scheme with microcredit institutions, where thousands of Albanian citizens have become victims, who even lost their homes for a consumer loan.

According to documents published by Prapaskena , governor Gent Sejko controls the scheme through his wife, Elona Sejko , director of Tirana Bank .

In the documents, Elona Sejko appears in connection with Elda Ibron , who is a shareholder of Micro Credit Albania , a microfinance institution whose license the Bank of Albania has suspended until June of this year.

The documents show an early relationship between the wife of governor Sejko and the shareholder of Micro Credit Albania .

On October 26, 2018, as a representative of the Bank of Tirana, Elona Sejko signs an agreement with Elda Ibron , according to which the Bank of Tirana transfers to Micro Credit Albania a portfolio of 5 thousand unpaid loans.

According to the complaint, the governor intervened in banks and other financial institutions instead of selling bad loans to Micro Credit Albania. It is suspected that thousands of unpaid loans were transferred to the MCA of Elda and Olsi Ibros not only from banks, but also from other microcredit institutions, such as Iute Credit Albania and Credo.al .

In the denunciation in question, suspicions are raised that Governor Sejko and his wife are the initiators of the establishment and licensing of other companies that, after receiving licenses from the Bank of Albania , are involved in the scheme of extorting citizens.

The suspension of the license for Micro Credit Albania by the Bank of Albania until June of this year is the first indication that raises doubts about a genuine fraud scheme.

The second clue is the departure of Elda Ibros and Olsi Ibros , the owners of this company abroad. However, this does not mean an end to fraudulent activity.

According to Prapaskena 's denunciation , the Bank of Albania has recently licensed a new company, named New Collections , and raises doubts that this company will be handed the portfolio of 100,000 Albanian debtors.
