Police operatives and agents of the National Bureau of Investigation surrounded the villa of former minister Arben Ahmetaj at Gjiri i Lalëzi, which he owns in the name of his co-habitant Eriola Hoxha.

The villa, worth 1 million euros, is suspected to be a product of the Incinerator affair and was paid for by Klodian Zoto on behalf of Ahmetaj's roommate. Ahmetaj's villa was searched as part of investigations into Ahmetaj's money laundering.

Sources indicate that around 30,000 euros were found inside Arben Ahmetaj's villa. It is learned that earlier, BKH also carried out inspections in the apartment of Ahmetaj's ex-wife Albina Maçka.

SPAK is carrying out investigative actions and is verifying the role of Ahmetaj regarding the issue of incinerators. The Special Prosecutor's Office for the issue of incinerators is verifying the role of the other three ministries.
