That Sali Berisha is a majority within the Democratic Party at the moment only those who do not want to see and deny it. But the question that arises is whether Berisha is able to bring the Democratic Party to power and win the people's vote to turn into a ruling majority?
To answer this question, some domestic and international obstacles undermining the former Prime Minister's ambition to return as Prime Minister must be taken into account beforehand. First, Berisha has been trained in power for 13 years and in all cases scandals and bombs have erupted, not only figuratively, but also real.
Since most Albanians did not love Salvini, the result has been learned since the referendum on the 1994 Constitution. Two years later, knowing the support berisha enjoyed among citizens orchestrated the massacre in the May 1996 general elections.
This massacre, but also the pyramid firms that flourished in the country with his blessing led to the riots of 1997, the year in which Berisha would be mercilessly removed from power. In 1998 he used the murder of Azem Iitoto to stage a coup, where he withdrew only after international intervention. However, the man who started the unrest that almost wiped Albania off the world map in its current form returned to power in 2005.
It took only three years from the second time in the country to blow up Gerdeci in his hands, leaving 26 dead and hundreds injured. In 2011 he was again in charge of the country when the guard killed four innocent protesters on 21 January.
However, for none of these troubles and deeds that have caused the country, Sali Berisha has not accounted. Now, almost 10 years after leaving by vote and resigning, Sali Berisha is again coining power.
That's the third truth for him. In the first two, he succeeded in seducing the internationals, but this time they have declared him non grata. The US has been stamping it since May last year, a sting and seal covering any seal of oppositionism Berisha can make by force, or court decision.
From this American sting it is impossible for him to return to power through the albanian vote. Therefore, taking the PD from him only serves him and doubts and assumptions that the largest opposition party he intends to use as an anti-American shield.
Berisha has repeatedly requested the dossier on the basis of which it has been declared non grata by the US. Such a decision has a dossier, but in his case, the US is being patient and seems to have set itself a red line, which if surpassed by Berisha will follow the publication of the dossier.
The publication of the dossier is accompanied by evidence, evidence with official investigations and investigations... Perhaps even with extradition to the US, an agreement has been signed between the two countries.
