Common energy market with Kosovo, ERE appoints "transfer agent"

The Energy Regulatory Authority has appointed the transfer agent for the Albanian Electricity Exchange, completing this instrument with a necessary link for the unification of the energy markets between Albania and Kosovo.

In the last meeting, it was determined that this role will be played by ALPEX SHA, while the decision will come into force when the merger of the 2 markets becomes effective.

"Transfer Agent" is the entity responsible for the transfer of net positions between different Central Parties. It can act as a counterparty between different central counterparties for the exchange of electricity, if the interested parties conclude a specific agreement for this purpose.
