Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke in Vlora about the need for more marinas and the opening of more parking spaces in the country.
He said that yachts and ships bring an increase in the presence of tourists, commenting on their benefit from tax-free oil.
"You need a strategy to guarantee the longevity of these investments you are making. Vlora has the potential to become a place like those cities in Portugal, Spain, Turkey, where many foreigners come to live."
We are supporting as much as we can. What does it mean that oil for yachts is tax-free, oil for cars is taxed? Without question. Because from those yachts our economy benefits, while from those cars, our environment is polluted and of course these are two things that cannot be compared. We need more marinas.
"We are investing, the marina here in Vlora is continuing to develop. We must be attentive to cleaning, it is in your interest. We have made a good plan for the beaches, we need more parking lots throughout Albania. It opened my eyes not only to the space for the palace, but also to the parking lot," said Rama.
