Imports overwhelm Albania, double the value of exports for September

The trade deficit has reached record levels in the first nine months of this year. Over 2.8 billion euros is the difference between exports and imports.

INSTAT published the foreign trade value balances, where imports are twice as much as exports for the month of September.

39 billion lek was the value of exports and 88 billion lek of imports, a trade deficit of 39 billion.

In the first 9 months of this year, the trade deficit is 324 billion lek, or about 2.8 billion euros, the highest figure ever recorded.
