Fiat, goodbye grey, only colored cars

Fiat has decided to stop producing gray cars starting from July 4, the day when the new Fiat 600e model will be launched.

The Stellantis group brand has decided to create a new range of colors that take inspiration from the sun, sky and land of Italy.

"We broke the rules. We decided to stop production of gray Fiat cars. It is a demanding and bold choice, which aims to further strengthen Fiat's leadership as a brand of joy, color and optimism.

Italy is the country of colors and, from today, also of Fiat cars" - said Olivier Francois, CEO of Fiat and global chief marketing officer of Stellantis.

He added that "Fiat wants to inspire people to live with optimism and positivity and this will be one of the missions of the Fiat 600e, electric car, which will be presented on July 4."

Scenographic spot shot in Lerici

The new commercial, shot in Lerici, Liguria, is scenographic.

The compact crossover is lifted by a crane and dipped, literally, in orange paint.

The new SUV, which will be electric and hybrid, inherits the name of the iconic model of the '50s and '60s and the dimensions of the 500X.

It will have the colors of the Italian flag on the bumper and the letter "e" (electric) on the back door. Slightly longer than 4 meters, the Fiat 600 is born on the Stellantis platform dedicated to compact vehicles.

It will be built in Poland, at the Group's Tychy plant.
