Eurostat: We are the second in Europe with the lowest number of rooms per person

In the publication of the 'European Statistics Agency', EUROSTAT, on the living conditions of family economic units, Albania and Montenegro are ranked first in Europe with the smallest number of rooms per person. Respectively, with 0.9 rooms for each person, while Serbia follows in line with one room per person. In the countries of the European Union, in 2021, there were an average of 1.6 rooms per person. This is the detailed data analysis done by 'Scan Intel'.

As for the countries that are listed at the other end of the graph, i.e. the countries with the most rooms, we find Malta with 2.3 rooms per person and the Netherlands and Ireland with 2.1 rooms per person each.

Albania is the second country in Europe which registers the highest percentage of the population living in families in conditions of overcrowding, where 58.1% of the population in our country stated that they live closely, according to a Eurostat survey.

Living conditions in different countries also depend on the composition of family economic units. Referring to the figures, Albania ranks first in Europe in terms of average family size. A family in our country consists of 3.7 people on average, while in the European Union the average size is 2.3 people per family. Montenegro, Turkey and Serbia follow in the ranking as countries with large families, while Finland, Denmark and Germany have the lowest number, with an average composition of two people.
