The double or triple bonus will no longer be given based on a graph as soon as we break in the last month of the year, but in the second week.
It was Prime Minister Edi Rama who announced this after a week ago he gave the good news about the increase of the annual bonus up to 150 euros.
"We will give 100 million euros from the state budget to pensioners directly. Pensioners who have pensions up to 20 thousand new lek will receive 150 euros and those with pensions over 20 thousand new lek 100 euros. All this money will begin to be disbursed starting from the second week of December", Rama said during a meeting in Bulqiza.
This year, the year-end bonus will be divided into two categories. All pensioners who have a pension of up to 20,000 lek, i.e. up to 200 euros, will receive three times the bonus until yesterday through a new bonus, 15,000 lek or 150 euros.
While pensioners who have a pension greater than 20,000 ALL will receive double the bonuses of previous years through a bonus in the amount of 10,000 ALL or 100 euros.
This distinction between the former and the latter is not made to give less to those who have a higher pension, but to give more to those who have a lower pension.
The triple bonus will be benefited this end of the year by more than half a million pensioners, exactly 511,000 of whom, in addition to the elderly, include 65,800 work invalids and 44,600 pension beneficiaries such as mothers or orphaned children.
While about 210 thousand other pensioners will benefit from the double bonus. In addition, the government has promised at the beginning of next year to introduce the new pension plan, from which other incomes are expected for pensioners while simultaneously guaranteeing the long-term stability of the pension policy without endangering the country's financial stability.
The head of the government brought to attention the next promise to give a second bonus in the spring, before the elections, the amount of which will be known in a few days through a decision that is expected to be published.
"Along with the money they will receive before the New Year, they will also receive the exact information about how much they will receive further in the spring. These bonuses are a direct increase in the purchasing power of retirees and are a direct and meaningful signal of economic growth," said Rama.
The economic growth figures, according to the Prime Minister, are very significant and show that in this decade Albania has had the highest growth in its domestic production in the region.
"It is an increase that has not only included public sector employees, whose salaries have almost tripled in relation to the past, but also includes the most vulnerable but even more difficult to address part of the pensioners. It is about more than 700,000 pensioners, who pay the tribute of the stupidity of the years before we took office", said the Prime Minister while bringing attention to the pension reform of 2014, while stating that those who retire from 2014 have higher pensions than those who came before.
"The pension reform of 2014 is the reflection of the entire pension system and clearly shows who will govern it and who alone can destroy this country. All pensioners who retire after 2014 have higher pensions than those before 2014. We made that reform and the overview of the pension system clearly shows who knows how to govern and who can only destroy this country. Beyond pensions are also investments".
