AKU fines two subjects in Tirana and Fier for unsafe food and lack of labeling

The Regional Directorates of the AKU in Tirana and Fier, during the exercise of controls, have found violations of legal requirements in two entities with the activity "supermarket" and "grocery warehouse".

Specifically, during the control exercise in a "supermarket" entity in Tirana, a lack of labeling in the Albanian language of some food products was found. For this reason, the inspection body has fined the subject in the amount of 50,000 ALL, as well as blocked a quantity of food products until they are labeled in accordance with the law.

In Fier, during the control exercise in a "food warehouse", it was found that the subject was distributing food products unsafe for consumption, as well as a partial traceability system.

For these violations, an administrative measure in the amount of 400,000 lek was imposed on the subject, as well as the amount of 38 kg of food products destined for their destruction was blocked.

AKU guarantees consumers for the increased commitment, in order to make the end of the year holidays go well.
