The consumption of dairy products decreases, due to the high price and informality

Albanian consumers have significantly reduced the demand for the consumption of dairy products and it seems that the reason for this is the increasing prices of these products.

The Executive Director of the Milk Processing Industry Association, states that the decrease in purchasing power is recorded from 5-20 percent depending on the product.

According to him, the problem for this industry is the high informality, which exposes consumers to unsafe products

On the other hand, the decline in milk production in the country and the lack of manpower are a concern for the entire industry.
