The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a meeting today at the DP headquarters with the working groups of the Tirana district, where the focus was on the continuation of the opposition action, the organization of protests and preparations for the local elections.
During the meeting, Berisha stressed that the Democratic Party will not withdraw from the protest, describing it as an essential element of the political battle against Edi Rama's government.
He underlined that the energy created by civic mobilization and especially by youth engagement must be transformed into a sustainable political force that will advance the effort for change.
"The youth explosion should not go to waste. We will not give up on the protest, as the protest is part of us," said Berisha, calling for continued mobilization and engagement of the Democratic Party structures.
The DP leader emphasized that the opposition's objective remains to confront Edi Rama's regime and create conditions for political change in the country. In this context, he emphasized the importance of protests as an instrument of civic and political pressure, considering opposition mobilization as necessary to achieve this goal.
In parallel with the continuation of the opposition action, Berisha requested that the DP structures begin preparations for the upcoming local elections, describing the organization on the ground as a process that should go hand in hand with the political battle.
Another important point of discussion was the unification of political and social factors against the government. Berisha emphasized the need for the unification of political forces in a common front, with the aim of serving the country's interest.
"We hope to build a common front in the interest of the country ," he declared.
