Police have arrested Officer Çlirim Torra, after he is suspected of taking money from an arrestee who was under "house arrest" to help him leave the house.

The incident occurred in Prrenjas.

NOTICE

The Police Supervision Agency, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan, has finalized an investigative action, within the framework of which Inspector Çlirim Torra, on duty as SPZ at the Prrenjas Police Station, Librazhd Police Commissariat, Elbasan DVP, was arrested in flagrante delicto.

From the investigative actions, it is suspected that the Police officer received a monetary value to favor the citizen with the initials AR, against whom the security measure "House Arrest" had been imposed, enabling him to violate this measure and leave the apartment.

At the conclusion of the investigative actions, Inspector Çlirim Torra is suspected of committing the criminal offenses of "Passive Corruption" and "Abuse of Office".

The procedural actions were carried out in close cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Elbasan. The investigation continues to fully document the circumstances and responsibilities of the persons involved.

The Police Supervision Agency will continue with zero tolerance towards corruption, abuse of office and any action that violates the integrity of law enforcement officers.
