The premiere of the 46th edition of "Portokalli" was received with great interest by the audience who were curious to see the artistic program prepared under the direction of Agron Llakaj, who returned after 16 years to the greatest comedy spectacle.

At the same time, the first performance was accompanied by controversy. A debate erupted online about the parody of the protest performed by a part of the "Orange" troupe. Some followers on social networks did not welcome the humorous tones. The director himself, Agron Llakaj, pointed out the purpose of the skit.

"Those characters that we raised in our protest in "Portokalli" are characters that went viral. They became memes right there in the protest. Even with people who abused the protest by bringing funny scenes. This has been and has no other purpose," said the leader of "Portokalli", Agron Llakaj.

Expressing support for the protest that has been going on for almost 130 days, LLakaj emphasized that the parade at the "Portokalli" theater was not intended to offend anyone and demanded a ban on hate speech against the actors.

"We don't curse anyone, we don't insult anyone, not even the protest and what it represents. We are humor artists, we produce humor by conveying messages. Konica says 'you have every right to the freedom you have, but you don't have to be offended by my freedom,'" said Llakaj.

The humorous spectacle is fundamentally based on current events and, through irony and sarcasm, pokes at the problems that concern us, continues Agron Llakaj.

"We have taken our life, our Albania, political and social phenomena and reflected them according to our perspective. There is a stance towards the majority, Edi Rama, the opposition, Sali Berisha. According to them, how can politicians who are in our perspective feel. laugh, deal with life more with sportsmanship. We are not a voice against the current", emphasized Agron Llakaj.

For several decades, "Portokalli" has created its image as a stage where problems, troubles or even protests about certain phenomena of Albanian society are conveyed through humor, irony and sarcasm.

In this success of the greatest comedy spectacle on Albanian screens, someone has seen themselves as a character and someone as a spectator, but we all agree that humor is a test of freedom for a society, the real test comes when the joke is on them and they still laugh. (TCH)
