The place where Catholics, Orthodox and Muslims sit cross-legged to drink brandy, the place where religious and pagan holidays are celebrated with equal zeal, is missing an essential element - a new Vatican, a Vatican 2.0 not with the Pope, but with dervishes.

Prime Minister Edi Rama, who compensates for the bad luck that has fallen to him to govern a small country with big ideas, has presented to the New York Times the project of the "Sovereign State of the Bektashi Order"

Vatican 2.0 will be a small state located in the middle of Tirana. The capital has it all, but another state has been missing.

One may ask: why do we need a state, given the long tradition of religious tolerance in Albania? Counter question: Why settle for peaceful coexistence when we can have a state of 28 ha within 28 thousand km/2?

Forget development projects, such as the construction of schools, highways, railways or energy, forget the Albania 2030 vision! What we need is another state. At least, for two reasons.

The first reason is historical. Two Albanian states were built by the Great Powers. It is now the turn of the Albanians to make a state themselves.

The Bektashi, who believe that God gave us minds to "think" - a revolutionary idea for the time we live in, are ready to have their own state in the middle of Tirana. Just imagine: passports, borders, diplomatic corps, guards, currency and territory the size of a quarter of the Vatican in Rome. The new state will include all the essential elements: a prayer hall, a museum, administration, diplomatic corps, a diplomatic tower like the glass UN palace to house all embassies.

The second reason for the need for a new state is the state of the 112-year-old state. We are not enlightening it, although we make reforms after reforms and work day and night. Corruption, instead of decreasing, is increasing, organized crime has reached levels of sophistication. We have these evils since the time of the Ottoman Empire. We need a new country, untainted by the past, to show the world what we can do with our hands. We need a state to administer justice itself without vetting and without foreign presence.

A little more time and the world will have Vatican 2.0, the edition of Tirana. Rama will be Pope without white smoke - decision of cardinals! Who needs centuries of Rome's religious bureaucracy when you can have the same mystical values ??right here, but with fewer rules and more dervishes?!

At the end of the day, the size of the state doesn't matter, it's the idea that matters. As Victor Hugo once said: more powerful than the power of a great army is the power of an idea whose time has come!

Another time has come: the time of religious tolerance, but now with "limits"!

Now for believers and atheists there are more choices: either to the Pope in the Vatican or to the Father Pope in Tirana!
